The 6863 is a nifty little adapter that let's you mount all kinds of hot or cold shoe accessories to your camera, a bracket, tripod, light stand, and more. Using its own cold foot you can attach the 6863 to the top of your camera. Or, use the common 1/4"-20 threaded port (located in the base of the cold foot) to connect the 6863 to a tripod, light stand, or studio clamp with spigot. Once mounted, you can connect all kinds of accessories such as speedlights, tranceivers, on-camera LED lights, a microphone, and more to any of the 4 cold shoes on the 6863.
The 6863 is tremendously compact. So it's easy to toss into your camera or lighting bag..just in case. It is machined from high-grade aluminum making it very strong, durable, and lightweight.
