ProMaster Matte 65 paper is a versatile media. At 185gsm and 10 mils thick it has the feel of a quality photographic paper while being priced quite economically.
Matte 65 has a flat, smooth, matte surface. This means there is almost no sheen or texture. Visually, photos take on the appearance of sharpness and detail. This is complemented by excellent shadow detail, bright clean highlights, and saturated colors. The surface of Matte 65 is also compatible with a wide variety of markers, paints, pastels, crayons, pens, and coatings that lends it to mixed media projects and artwork.
As an archival paper, Matte 65 is both acid and lignin free. It does use OBAs (optical brightening agents) to achieve its incredibly high brightness value of 105%. The high density of this paper yields an excellent opacity rating of 95%.
